B&W Zebrawood End Grain Cutting Board

This end grain board really challenged my design skills. If you can tell from the initial glue-up, I had initially intended to have the thicker walnut (the darkest wood) on the outside of my final glue-up. That said, after sharing the two mock up photos above with some friends, they rightly suggested that keeping the walnut toward the center would be the best look for the board.

This is another board that I sat on for quite a few weeks while I worked through the design. While I typically do all the math for board length of things of that sort before hand, this was more exploratory.

With how this turned out, I have another 2 similar glue-ups in the works… just wait to see those patterns!
